Description

Join more than 14 million people worldwide to take the Gallup Strengths Assessment, then explore the unique ways you experience your strengths and how they influence one another. Even if you’ve participated in a previous UAAD Strengths workshop, you’ll leave this session with more practical ideas on how to use your signature talents to be more confident, engaged, and productive.

Before the Session:
If you haven't taken the StrengthsFinder (or you want an updated assessment), you can purchase the access code and StrengthsFinder 2.0 e-book directly from Gallup website for $15. (Alternatively, you can purchase the StrengthsFinder 2.0 or Strengths Based Leadership book, both of which come with a code.)

Review your strengths reports at GallupStrengthsCenter and highlight words and phrases that stand out to you. There are three reports available for you:

1. Your Signature Themes Report – general theme descriptions for each of your top 5 themes

2. Strengths Insight Report - personalized insights based on all 34 themes, including what makes you stand out from others

3. Strengths Insight and Action-Planning Guide – ideas for action for each of your top 5 themes and questions to help you apply your talents


What to Bring:
Please bring your Strengths Insight and Action-Planning Guide with you to the session.


Fee and Payment:
UAAD Members: $20
Non-members: $40

Payments can be made by cost object, cash, or check (made payable to UAAD). Cash/check payments can be sent to Andrea Balkus (151 WHIT). Payment must be received prior to the day of the event.


Refreshments:
Coffee and contintenal breakfast will be provided.


About the Speakers:
Becky Carter is an Human Resource Specialist for the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) at UNL. Becky has served as the project manager and change manager for implementing talent management for IANR. She specializes in strengths-based leadership and development. Becky holds a Master of Arts from UNL in Educational Administration, Organizational Development. She is a certified mediator, group facilitator and is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach.

Deb Eisloeffel has engaged in numerous roles during her 25 years at the University of Nebraska – overseeing public relations, writing grants, coordinating events, and developing a community to support service-learning at UNL and across three states. She currently serves as the Human Resource Manager for the College of Business Administration, where she focuses on building a culture of Strengths through Start Strong, the College’s strengths-based talent management initiative.
